Our Mission

At Green Hill church we strive to provide a sanctuary for prayerful worship within a respectful and welcoming environment and to meet the spiritual and practical needs of our congregation and the community. We seek to provide food and clothing for the soul and for the body for those in need.  As we give food donations to local ministries we support, such as Sunday Breakfast Mission or Lutheran Community Services in Wilmington, we are mindful that Jesus spoke of himself as "the bread that comes down from heaven, which a man may eat and not die" (John 6:50).  As we give clothing donations to Sunday Breakfast Mission we recognize that Paul said, "clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature" (Rom. 13:14). Our mission, then, is to share the gospel in its fullness to the community and the world through a faith that works (James 2).
